Commander Jim Gay called meeting to order at 0900 hours.

Roll call of Counties showed 8 units being represented.  Bannock, Boundary, Clearwater, Fremont, Salmon, Lincoln, Nez Perce, Power

 

Past State Commanders present: Brett Mackert, Rick Pruett, Gordon Wothe

  

Hosting unit remarks –Dave thanked everyone for coming.  Jim thanked Boundary for the great meeting & training.

 

 

OFFICERS REPORTS:

Commander Jim Gay –  attended the sheriff’s association, operations board has made changes to some reimbursements

1^st Vice, Rick Miller -

2nd Vice, Mitch Henson –

Quartermaster/Treasurer, Steve Clinkscales- Treasurers report- Zone 1 $3,939.11, Zone 3 $3,658.00, Zone 2 $1,717.00 = Total Training Fund $9,314.11

Communications, Burt Bates – FCC license has been changed to narrow band, some issues involving antenna sensitivity that he is researching

Secretary, Dawn Lenz – membership cards

 

Bannock, Steve Clinkscales – no report

Boundary, Danny Rawson- 7 searches since last meeting, suicide,

Clearwater, Bill Neider- 10 callouts, 8 special details, training planned for august, new officers

Fremont, Brett Mackert- several searches, one during the last ISSAR meeting, helicopter, dinner auction fundraiser, retrofitting all radio equipment

Salmon, Rick Pruett- eleven motor vehicle accidents, one involving semi, evacuations for the fires, car in river, truck in river, pickup stuck in snow for 4 days. Snowmobile accident, life threatening

Lincoln, Jim Gay - several call outs for extrication, runaway from school wilderness survival

Nez Perce, Robert Botts, - dementia patient that had wandered off

Power, Pete Williams – no report

 

Committee Reports:

Bylaws- proposed amendments to bylaws were read

Webpage- Domain name was renewed for 10 years, website for 3 years. Facebook page is another valuable tool to visit to stay in touch with what is happening with ISSAR

 

Training funds- sheriff’s association funds are available and will be lost if not utilized, as well as Zone Training Funds through ISSAR

Legislature- sheriff

 

Scrapbook – has been scanned into a digital form and will be published on web/Facebook, we are still missing 4 PSC’s,

 

Search Reimbursement- there will now be a 90 day deadline to submit search reimbursement requests

 

Audit, Marie Wothe- 33 units have paid their membership dues, approximately 933 members (down about 23 members from last year)

 

Minutes- accepted as printed, and seconded, approved.
