A moment of silence was taken for the sick and deceased, as well as the military.

Marie Wothe offered a prayer.

Hosting Unit Remarks

Rick Pruett thanked everyone for coming and offered a tour of the Salmon Search and Rescue building following the meeting. Rick Miller thanked Rick for the great job their unit has done on putting the meeting together.

        Dave Kramer(2nd vice) Excused

        Steve Clinkscales (Quarter-Master) $12,000 in account presently. Brought quartermaster supplies with him if anyone wants to purchase.

        Burt Bates (Communications) Spoke about upcoming license renewal for next year.

        Clearwater - 3 call outs. Working security and road block for the forest fire.

        Elmore (Mike Moore) A few call outs.

        Franklin - No report.

        Fremont (Brian Lenz)

                Motorcycle accident/Medical assist on drive home from Bonners Ferry state meeting.

                Boat Rescues, Joint Teton County medical assist. Medical support for Grand Teton Relay, 1 Extrication, Upcoming demolition derby. Medical support for Mesa Falls Marathon

       Salmon (Rick Pruett) Several extrication call outs. A couple of lost girl searches

        Lincoln (Jim Gay)July 4 year old drowning, 4 medical assists, heat exhaustion, Several extrication call outs, CPR class

        Search Reimbursement

                Discussed submitting state meeting attendance and training as a search through Wes Collins.

                Brian Lenz volunteered to submit this meeting as a search reimbursement to Wes Collins to try it out and he will report back on it.

        

        Training Fund (Jim Gay)

                Sheriff's Association discussed putting together a “Train the Trainer” and

                        “Search Management” classes as they have a vested interest in assuring quality leadership.

                Need better participation in each zone.

                Zone reps should check with their units to ensure ISSAR membership renewals.

                           

Unfinished Business

Minutes Distributed. Accepted as printed.

501C(3) (Steve Clinkscales) Kootenai County has filed ISSAR’s 501C(3) as their own which has caused a serious mix up with tax exemption between state and unit. Steve is looking into this. IRS may need to intervene.

Everett Bogart Award Jim Gay from Lincoln County received this highly-prestigious award.

        

Plaque Committee for Past State Commanders. JD will lead this committee.
