Commander, Dale Crowther  - Thanked Salmon for hosting the campout. It has been great. A special thanks to Rick Pruett, Salmon Commander for all his work and effort. Mini Cassia will host the Winter Meeting sometime in March. Thanked everyone for coming.

1st Vice, JD Drury  - Thanked Salmon for hosting the campout. It has been a lot of fun and also relaxing. I have been in contact with Lisa Benson, Custer County Commander. This unit has reorganized, needs our help in the area of training. Stan Fenn and Jerry Lemm have offered their services. Vice Commander Drury would like each county in the Association to list their types of training skills and the trainers name and address which could be used to help other units who are in need of training. This information could be placed on the web site. A calendar of Events could be listed also.

2nd Vice, Walt Rhodes  - Glad to be here. Thank you for all the cards and telephone calls while I was in the hospital again. I have been working with Caribou County, trying to get them to join the State Association once again. Thank you, Salmon.

Treasurer, Olivia Bailey - Excused, no report.

Communications - A "Thank You" card was read from the family of Butch Thomas, thanking the Association for the flowers sent for  Butch's service. Butch Thomas was a Past State Commander.

Unit reports:

Bear Lake, Walt Rhodes    2 fund raisers, unit training, no searches.

Franklin, JD Drury   1 recovered drowning victim, training on high angle rescue, medical treatment, crime scene preservation, preparing for the National Meeting in Sept.

Gooding, Mary Ann Harris  The unit has been working hard. No searches. Have some new equipment. It is nice to be here in Salmon and take part in the events.

Unfinished Business:

Minutes -were accepted as printed. Motion made by Gordon Wothe; seconded by Cole Colvin; carried.

New Business:

Legislature, Sheriff Brian Kaufman (Teton) - presented the latest facts for Sheriff Southwick who was unable to attend, concerning the reimbursement fund. At this time, the reimbursement funds are almost depleted. A new bill for the Search and Rescue Fund will be introduced in the Senate. The snowmobile, ATV, boat, and hunting licenses may be increased by $1.00. Hopefully bring in a larger amount of dollars to help out the reimbursement fund if the bill is passed. Most of the searches are for lost snowmobilers or lost hunters. Sheriff Kaufman again thanked all the Search and Rescue volunteers for their time and effort, saving the tax payer a lot of expense. Sheriff Southwick sent new forms to the meeting. These new forms are the only form that will be accepted for the reimbursement program which must be sent to Sheriff Southwick for reimbursement dollars. This form will also be available on the web site.

"C" Lemm, Roster Chairman for National, reminded all the units to get all the unit information correct on the forms. Evelyn Courtney agreed for the state roster sheets also.

National Cookbooks - Sandra Drury announced the National cookbooks should be at the Preston meeting. Gordon Wothe, Co-Chairman for the ads for the roster, announced it is time to start getting the ads, this project helps pay for the expenses of the project, keeps the dues from increasing, and he reminded us to support those companies who support our organization.

Salmon Dance - Rick Pruett invited everyone to come to Salmon for the units annual dance held on Sept. 14th. We have tickets.

Newsletter - Gordon Wothe would like to see a newsletter sent to all units and Idaho Past State Commanders with information on training, events and the latest happenings of Idaho Search and Rescue.

Idaho State Fire School - Tom Taylor of Salmon informed the group of the Idaho State Fire School, which is a three day event. For ten dollars, a unit may join, get the information and apply for training. This can be found on the internet. JD. will contact Bannock County for the Idaho State Labor day Campout 2003.
